What is CEREC?
CEREC stands for CEramic REConstruction. It is a computer-aided method for producing dental restorations from full ceramic. We no longer need impression material, just a digital 3D scan. Together with special software, we can then produce your dental restoration directly in our LifeDent practice.

How does a CEREC treatment work?
Consultation and planning
We take time to understand your wishes and answer your questions. Together we decide which solution is optimal for you.
Tooth preparation
The affected tooth is prepared: cavities or old fillings are removed and the surface is smoothed.
Digital 3D scan
Using a small intraoral camera, we scan the tooth and surrounding structures. This procedure is fast, precise and comfortable.
Dental restoration on screen
We transfer the captured data to a 3D program where we individually design your dental restoration. We take into account your bite ratio and the natural shape of your teeth.
On-site manufacturing
The planned dental restoration is then milled from a ceramic block using a state-of-the-art milling machine. This process takes about 15 minutes.
Fitting and insertion
The finished dental restoration is individually adjusted, refined if necessary and then inserted. You immediately enjoy full function and aesthetics.
Who is CEREC suitable for?
The CEREC procedure is incredibly versatile and suitable for the most diverse types of dental restoration.
- Inlays and onlays: Fillings that are externally produced and inserted into damaged teeth.
